The Red River is one of the finest channel cat fisheries on the planet. People come from all over the United States every year with the hopes of catching trophy channel catfish. If you have thought about catfishing on the Red River or been fishing it for decades, we have a class for you. Catfish University was first brought to the Fargo Moorhead area in 2010. Since then, it has been updated and modified. We have taken it on the road to Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota since.
The 2022 Catfish University will be a series of classes with a new additions.
Series will be:
Part 1- Introduction to Catfishing
Part 2- Catching Catfish
Part 3- Advanced Catfishing
Part One, Introduction to Catfishing is just that, the very beginning to catfishing. It will start at the very beginning teaching you how to choose and set up your gear. We will then move onto baits and the very basics of getting started with catfishing. The lessons are great reminders to the fundamentals of setup and catfishing.
Part Two, Catching Catfish moves into the seasons of a catfish, basic locations and why catfish do what they do. From there we talk about the seasonal approach to catching catfish.
Part Three, Advanced Catfishing is new to the Catfish University lineup and digs deeper into catshing catfish. We will dig deep into understanding current, high water, low water and fishing during negative times. This third seminar ties it all together and you will be a much better catfish angler after you complete this seminar.
COST:- $20 per seminar $50 for all three. All entries that enter all three sessions will be entered for some prizes to be drawn March 17th

Captain Brad Durick
Captain Brad Durick is a nationally known catfish guide, speaker and catfish educator who operates on the Red River of the North at Grand Forks, North Dakota. Durick is the only full time guide on the US side of the Red and has 14 years of experience. He has written two books on catfishing, Cracking the Channel Catfish Code and Advanced Catfishing Made Easy. He has been hosting and speaking at Catfish Universities all over the Midwest since 2010. New in 2021 he is the host of the Catfish Best Source Podcast.
