WELCOME TO BRAD DURICK'S CATFISH UNIVERSITY
Catfish University is something that came to light back in 2010 as Captain Brad Durick hosted it in Fargo, North Dakota. The idea was to give catfish anglers personal lessons from over 20 years of catfishing experience.
In 2014, it was time to go on the road. Catfish University embarked on a two-city tour in Iowa visiting Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. The University was very successful and caught the eye of Scheels stores who eventually became a partner, hosting Catfish University in 2015 and 2016. In 2018 Catfish University returned to Des Moines, IA with a new look. Captain Brad covered catfish habits and catfishing efficiency. He was joined by flathead expert Ted Ellenbecker, lake fishing guide David Wyner, ice fishing expert Troy Hansen and kayak guru Spencer Bauer to make for a full day of catfishing education. 2019 brought Catfish University back to the Sioux City where Durick was again joined by Ellenbecker, Wyner and Bauer for another full day of catfishing education.
With all the uncertainty of 2021 the crew returned to North Sioux City, South Dakota. This time it was back to the fundamentals to give the experienced anglers a good reminder and help new anglers get caught up to speed. Of course, with a name like Catfish University there had to be a couple seminars of new material that many catfish anglers had never heard.
Now in 2022 Durick is back in Fargo, going solo to spend more time on the Red River even offering a third seminar session
